Throughout 2023, OCU Group has been experiencing a sustained period of growth and expansion. This has created an opportunity for a Draughtsman to join our team in Stockton.


The right individual will have the chance to work as part of an established team of highly skilled, and experienced engineers.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • As a Draughtsman your main responsibility is to draw plans for the installation of LV and HV electric cables. You will play a crucial role in meeting NPG requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Keep a track record of new cables that are installed as part on the NPG contract.
  • You will need to embrace a dynamic work environment that involves occasional travel as you navigate between jobs.
  • You will need strong organisational skills as you structure your day to accommodate various locations, and priorities jobs efficiently.
  • You will work closely with our experienced cable engineers to ensure a high quality of work is produced.

Skills and Experience:


  • Follow and promote the company's health and safety policies.
  • Use initiative, be selfmotivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Good interpretative skills.
  • Ability to prioritise various and changing tasks.
  • Work to deadlines and communicate early when this is not feasible.
  • Well organised.
  • Flexible.
  • Good communicator and a team player.
  • Accuracy, literacy, and numeracy abilities.

Essential:


  • Must be willing to work alone or as a team.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
