Job summary:


  • Reporting to the Inspection Support Team Leader, this role is key to providing the daytoday supervision and management to a team of Inspection Support Administrators. The supervisor will ensure that efficient support is provided to inspectors and inspectionrelated activity by allocating and monitoring workloads effectively, providing advice and direction where necessary.

The key responsibilities of the role are outlined below. However, this is an overview of the role and is not exhaustive. Ofsted reserves the right to assign other duties commensurate with the
B3 grade as required.

  • To oversee, prioritise and allocate work within the team, monitoring progress against service standards and reporting to the Team Leader as appropriate.
  • To manage Inspection Support Administrators in a proactive and positive way to ensure a wellmotivated team that provides an efficient and effective service to stakeholders.
  • To identify and develop individual training needs for a line management group to promote continuous professional development and to improve systems and structures to deliver a better quality service.
  • To provide advice and direction to team members to ensure the successful delivery of planned outcomes, targets and deadlines.
