Role description and responsibilities:


  • Recording and maintaining financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, revenue, invoices, and payments
  • Tracking and reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Credit control, working alongside credit insurance and credit intelligence systems
  • Support in cost reduction activities to ensure best value for money
  • Providing administrative support during audit preparation
  • Liasing with customers and suppliers around invoicing and issue resolution
  • Ensuring our financial data is accurate
  • Set up & maintenance of supplier data and purchase prices on ERP system

Experience & Skills:


  • Experience of working with QuickBooks and/or SAP is desirable
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills, able to tailor communications at different levels with a strong attention to detail
  • Develops strong relationships across the company and with external providers and suppliers
  • Experience in a similar finance position, ideally in the manufacturing and/or R&D sectors
  • Good Excel skills
  • Grant administration experience would be advantageous
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and respond quickly to requests from the senior management team
