    Job Summary:

    At the heart of Workshop Coffee is our roastery, where we roast, pack and despatch coffee every day of the working week. We require a Production Assistant to ensure the smooth, organised and efficient operation of our Production Department, fulfilling orders on time whilst being packed and presented to a high level. The successful candidate will be responsible for packing roasted coffee, organising delivery logistics, labelling, picking and packing orders, general and specific cleaning tasks. Training is an ongoing affair.

    Customary Hours:

    Mon 9-5

    Tues 9-5

    Occasionally moving to Thurs 9-5 during busy periods of the year

    Duties:

    • Accurate & efficient weighing out and packing of roasted coffee, as per production schedule.

    • Careful and precise application of bag labels and roast dates.

    • Deliberate and considerate handling and presentation of all goods produced.

    • General, ongoing tidying and tidy operation of all production work areas.

    • Courier and logistics preparation.

    • Setting up & breaking down cupping sessions.

    • Helping to prepare basic staff meals.

    • End of day cleaning practices, as dictated by schedules and manager.

    • To represent Workshop Coffee in the best possible light.

    Qualifications:

    • Attention to detail.

    • A genuine and sincere interest in coffee and customer service.

    • Competency in use of email, spreadsheets, and other basic computer functions.

    • Ability to work efficiently, diligently, and cheerfully with a variety of co-workers.

    • Excellent multi-tasking, prioritisation and organisation skills.

    • Excellent English language communication and presentation skills.

    • Fastidious punctuality.

    • Demonstrable legal entitlement to work in the United Kingdom.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: From £12.60 per hour

    Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
