We are actively seeking a dedicated and proactive Support Worker to make a real difference in the life of a young woman with an acquired brain injury.

You will support the client in their home and also in accessing the local community._

Location:_Aughton, Lancashire_

Salary:
_ _£13.00 per hour (weekdays); £14.00 per hour (weekends); £95.00 per sleep-in shift; double rate on Bank Holidays_


Client Details:

The client is a young woman with an acquired brain injury, was previously enrolled in college and is now seeking meaningful occupation.

Due to the client's specific needs and preferences, this role is exclusively open to female applicants.


Role Responsibilities

  • Assist and facilitate the client in daytoday activities at home and within the community (no personal care required)
  • Accompany the client to external appointments and engage in meaningful community activities including seeking occupation.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech and language specialists, to implement her rehabilitation programme and foster independence

Requirements:


  • You need to be reliable, professional, and be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • You should be friendly and easy to talk to.
  • You must be flexible and good at supporting people emotionally.

Preferences:


  • It's a plus if you've helped young people with brain injuries before.
  • Experience in working at a client's home is good to have.
  • Being outgoing and positive helps you fit this role better.
  • Having a clean UK driving licence is a big plus.

Salary:
£13.00-£26.00 per hour

Experience:

- caring for someone in their own home: 1 year (preferred)
- living in the UK: 5 years (required)
- caring for someone with a brain injury or similar disability: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
