We have an exciting opportunity for a Front of House Manager to join our team based in Leatherhead, working Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm

You'll assist with all Administration duties within our client's site under the instruction & guidance of the Head Chef / Assistant Facilities Manager.

We are looking for someone who would be competent with the day-to-day use of in-house computer literature & who would have the drive and self-initiative to develop the admin role further, enabling it to run smoothly

You'll need to have some previous experience in the hospitality sector, including catering experience and cash handling and be fully competent with use of Microsoft Word & Excel.

Uniform and lunch will be provided, and there is a free shuttle bus to and from Leatherhead train station


Main Duties:


  • Effectively run the front of house making sure all staff are clear of their duties, to include daily checks of all areas making sure all units are filled and presented correctly, and regular uniform checks of all the front of house team
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Head Chef/management to highlight attention required in any areas.
  • Operate tills at times of service in main restaurant each day
  • Complete all areas of cash handling/banking duties within Catering including daily tills.
  • Always notify Line Manager of any cash variances sending daily report to the Facilities Manager
  • Answer all telephone enquiries leaving clear written messages
  • Order & place stationary requirements within the department in adherence to stock holding levels inputting monthly stock taking data.
  • Ensure that the Chefs' Office is kept clean & tidy with items filled appropriately.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Previous experience in Cash handling.
  • Previous Catering experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
  • A professional demeanour and a high standard of personal presentation
  • An ability to demonstrate sound judgement and integrity
  • Flexibility attitude towards working when necessary.
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • High degree of discretion and tact
