Job Purpose Summary

This is a full-time paid internship to begin on 5th June and conclude on 4th August 2023.


This role is responsible for:

• Helping the compliance function meet its day to date responsibilities as part of the Compliance Monitoring Programme ('CMP') across the trading and posttrade business lines;
• Assisting with internal and external enquiries, performing analysis, preparing reports for submission to relevant parties.

General Support Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting first line reviews of Scila trade surveillance monitoring with the assistance of another compliance officer;
• Performing KYC/AML reviews of customers and vendors;
• Updating policies and procedures where required;
• Preparing for compliance meetings including agenda and taking notes;
• Producing analysis used as part of regulatory reporting such as internal MI.
• Maintaining local compliance policies, procedures, records and general recordkeeping (e.g. breach register, PA dealing notifications etc.);

Qualifications:


Knowledge/Experience

• An interest in, and basic understanding of financial markets;
• Analytical skills specifically data analytics (science or mathematics);
• Strong written and verbal skills to be able to articulate clearly and extrapolate information;

Skills/Personal Requirements

• Penultimate year student (graduating in 2024 from a Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Exceedingly good attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
• Willing to take on important routine tasks;
• Strong communicator
