Bid Manager/Estimator, Leeds, great salary + benefits


TECL have been one of the UK's leading fire protection companies since 2009 and we are ambitious to cement our place by winning more government work via online tendering systems.

From our head office in Leeds we cover a national territory and have successfully completed significant projects throughout our years in this industry.

We currently employ in excess of 70 team members and we are hoping that adding framework deal to our already strong order book we can increase our numbers and revenue.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Liaising with a team to deliver proposals and determine the needs of the potential client.
  • Taking ownership of the endtoend bid process.
  • Managing opportunities from qualification through to contract award.
  • Identifying opportunities on which to submit bids and feeding into the decision over whether to bid for the work.
  • Introducing and implementing all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes.
  • Researching, writing and/or checking proposals
  • Managing online bid portals and supply chain prequalification
- ideally have at least 2 years' experience within a similar role.

  • Must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Strong people management and commercial skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
  • Managing a team, making sure deadlines are met.

From writing bid submissions and acting as the main point of contact for the client, to managing the bid team and ensuring the best use of resources allocated to each project, you will play a key part and will directly contribute to the future success of your client's business.

Bid Manager Responsibilities

  • Key client point of contact for requirements, queries, updates & reviews
  • Attend client meetings with their project team as required
  • Lead internal writing, writing complex responses & coordinating QA with senior input
  • Regular reviews of internal bid / QA processes
  • Responsibility for ensuring all bids are completed & returned to deadlines
About You

  • 2 + years experience in a fire door o bid management role
  • A keen sense of ownership, with a flexible & positive attitude
  • An exceptional writer, with firstrate communication skills
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline would be advantageous
  • Ability to communicate information clearly
  • Strong management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
  • Possess a strong interest in the latest & emerging industry trends

Salary:
£40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Supplemental pay types:
