    Job Role

    1. To provide safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care, supporting the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.
    2. To lead and coordinate staff training needs and resource requirements within a peri-operative function or surgical specialty, overseeing team performance.
    3. Contribute to enhancing patient care through quality improvement initiatives.
    4. Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly, ensuring compliance.
    5. Maintain knowledge of health and safety regulations, taking appropriate measures for the well-being of patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff, and contractors.

    Preparing Surgical Equipment and Supplies

    Assemble, check, and prepare the necessary surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for a range of operative procedures.
