This role is primarily based at our site in Nigg, Aberdeen, although on occasion may require you to other sites in Scotland where you will manage and prioritise your own workload.

What you'll do

You'll manage and lead a team providing the operational management of Waste Water and/or Sludge assets.

You'll have excellent operation of assets to ensure high profile risks to the company are managed and mitigated. Lead initiatives to improve plant reliability and operation. Ensure daily focus on efficient task completion, quality, and housekeeping.

Drive safety focus of team, reviewing hazards and reducing process risks.

Operational assets in this area are vital to achieving business critical performance measures for Production, including safety, compliance, energy and OPEX expenditure.

Transform the operation of waste water and/or sludge assets into a safe, integrated, productive and efficient team. Drive significant improvements in operational productivity through improved ways of working.


Ensure a proactive and resilient approach to the operation and maintenance of sewage and/or sludge treatment assets and manage costs and operational expenditure to make savings against budget whilst improving site safety and team performance.


This role commands annual operating expenditure of £1M, which you will control and ensure that you deliver the Business Plan that you set each year.

What you'll bring


You'll have experience of:

  • Incident management and crisis response
  • Liaison with external and stakeholders
  • Waste water and/or sludge treatment processes
  • Leading and embedding change, able to influence and drive right culture and behaviours.


Knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and processes and previous experience in an operational and / or strategic leadership role in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment.

The salary range for this role is 35, ,924.00 GBP Annual (depending on skills and experience).
