Account Manager | ITSM - ESM Space | Remote


Our client is an ITSM specialist working with multiple vendors to provide their customers with the best and most appropriate ITSM or ESM solution to meet their needs.

Their customer base ranges from large multinational corporations to local and central governmentand smaller enterprises. The technology they work with includes products from ServiceNow, BMC, Freshworks, 4Me and Combodo.

Whilst they work across many vendors, they see ServiceNow as a cornerstone of their growth, and the Account Manager will be essential to winning new customers who need to

  • Mature their existing ServiceNow implementation
  • Migrate to, or from, ServiceNow.
  • Expand their licence estate and take advantage of new capabilities


This growing and entrepreneurial company will ensure you get formal and on the job training to complete your technical knowledge and in time they will expect you to be an expert in selling ITSM solutions.


The role
Reporting into and working closely with their Chief Revenue Officer your main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Identifying, marketing and selling to companies with existing ServiceNow instances
  • Sell their Professional, Managed and Support Services
  • Engage with (primarily) ServiceNow AE and Partner teams to improve the visibility and branding of the company with ServiceNow
  • Identify collaborative opportunities with (primarily) ServiceNow, and work through the opportunity lifecycle to successfully close these opportunities
  • Manage bids, coordinating with presales and the delivery team to define the correct solutions
  • Achieve required gross margin levels
  • Work with FreshSales CRM to ensure that contact, customer and opportunity data is maintained
  • Work with their CRO to accurately forecast deals and pipeline

About You
You'll be a self-motivated individual with experience of selling IT solutions (ideally within the ITSM / ESM space). You will be comfortable in the multifaceted atmosphere of a technical organisation with a rapidly growing customer base.

In addition, you'llbe organised and analytical, adept at working in an agile team, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


You will be very keen to cross train to expand your technical knowledge and will work constantly to improve your expertise.

You will be a great communicator both verbally and in writing and will be comfortable and confident interacting with customers atall levels.


Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience selling IT solutions, preferably within the ITSM / ESM space
  • ServiceNow technology would be great, other ITSM tools a real bonus
  • Customer interaction at all levels, and if you have C-Level experience that would be fantastic

Knowledge of and Awareness

  • ITSM, Service Management, Infrastructure, ITIL, IT business management, Help Desk Management Software, Enterprise Service Management
  • Current IT best practice and emerging technologies
  • Relevant and new IT services and products
  • Business case development

Package

  • Basic salary of c£60k |Commission based on Gross Margin achieved, payable as revenue is recognised
  • A very realistic year 1 OTE of £80k £90k, and year 2 IRO £100k £120k
