Are you an experienced, qualified Gas Engineer? Do you have experience working in Domestic properties along with the drive to broaden your skills base in an exciting new position? If so, we may be able to help you


Here at Howells Contracts, we are working with a leading social housing contractor group to find a Gas Engineer to be responsible for the teams servicing, breakdown repairs and installs on a social housing contract in Manchester.


The role will involve a variety of works within tenanted and empty properties, to be completed to a high standard with the minimum of supervision.

You will carry out fault diagnosis ensuring any additional works required are communicated back to your Supervisor,leaving the resident confident and assured.


You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.

You will also operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements ofyour skill areas.

Typical work will comprise of day to day repairs/maintenance, short duration service, renewal or refurbishment works to properties.

For this role you must have:

  • at least 3 years' domestic experience including breakdown experience
  • CCN1; CENWAT; HTR1; CKR1; Unvented Hot Water
  • UK driving licence
