Description

A Local Authority in London is seeking a Voids Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis.

Hourly rate of pay is an umbrella rate.

Main responsibilities will include:

Correctly scoping, assigning and postinspecting works in empty and Void properties according to RBKC standard on relevant IT systems
Using NAT FED SOR to correctly scope all required works and minimise need for VO by contractors
Ensuring works are progressed on target as per agreed standard, according to agreed budget and excellent workmanship and high customer satisfaction is achieved
Flagging any workmanship or timescales issues earlier on and addressing these with contractors immediately and advising RBKC Management of any issues which might arise as a result
Inspecting works during Void works to manage contractor's progress and advising of any potential delays to Management
Scrutinising Variations submitted to ensure works are claimed for correctly
Liaising with all stakeholders, office based and frontline staff in achieving high customer satisfaction of newly let properties
Ensuring compliance of properties is carried out and it's carried out to set timescales
Ensuring clean of the property is flagged to relevant teams ahead of the hand back and site is signed off only if works carried out to high standard
