Job overview:


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated accredited
Psychotherapist to join our friendly adult community mental health team in Great Yarmouth.

Our community services are at the cusp of important service transformations and we are looking for someone who will be able to develop and promote psychologically informed working within the community team, alongside the more traditional provision of psychological therapies.


Please note that we only will shortlist applicants who have completed their qualification and can already work independently as a psychotherapist.

Main duties of the job:


We are looking for someone with experience of working psychologically with adults with complex presentations associated with community mental health.

The role is both varied and challenging.

We are seeking someone who would be able to carry out assessments for therapy suitability, individual and group therapy, psychological consultation and clinical supervision to the multi-disciplinary teams and deliver teaching and training for staff.


As part of the post holder development, we are willing to consider opportunities for further training in evidence-based psychological interventions.

Qualifications:


Essential criteria:


  • Health or Social Care professional qualification RMN, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology, Diploma in Social Work or equivalent
  • Postgraduate diploma in CBT or CAT or family therapy or equivalent
  • Registration with appropriate professional body

Experience:


Essential criteria:


  • Experience of working with clients with mental health problems
  • Training and ability to deliver other therapeutic approaches e.g. CBT, CAT, DBT, EMDR, IPT

Desirable criteria:


  • Experience of working in secondary care with clients with complex presentations

Skills:


Essential criteria:


  • Able to communicate effectively with a range of individuals, clients, professionals and organisations
  • Able to demonstrate a flexible enabling approach to service delivery
