Tradewind are working on behalf of a Liverpool secondary school who require a Behaviour Support Assistant to work predominantly with Year 10 students.


The position will be well suited for a strong individual with experience within school settings, excellent behaviour management skills and organisation and administration skills.

The school are needing someone to start as soon as possible until Easter. Theposition is full time, 9am - 4pm and pay is negotiable based on experience.


If successful, you will be expected to work with children who have challenging behaviour and expected to manage this accordingly and in an independent manner.


The role:
To work under the direction of the Director of Inclusion and the SENDCO to support students with emotional

and behavioural difficulties and disaffection

To liaise with class teachers to implement appropriate programmes of learning when students are in isolation

To provide support for students in a variety of settings to reengage them in learning, both when in the

Academy mainstream and when in internal exclusion

To supervise students when in internal exclusion delivering activities which support the expected levels of academic progression.

To ensure effective management of the isolation room ensuring that required standards are met and maintained.

To supervise and develop good social skills with challenging young people who may otherwise be excluded.

Assist in the implementation of student-based improvement plans to support students in meeting the

required standards in relation to academic progression, behaviour and social cultural and spiritual development.
