We are currently looking for the right person to join our transport office team to help and support in day-to-day planning and running of vehicles.

Transport Planner - General Road Haulage Office

The job:

Based in West Thurrock you'll be working as a Senior member of the transport team keeping in contact with drivers and customers throughout the day to ensure deliveries are made on time.

This involves managing the drivers closely and assigning work on a logical, time efficient manner, minimising fuel costs and maximising driver hours.

Ensuring fleet maintenance schedule is kept and is met in a timely fashion thus minimising truck downtime and associated costs.

Other Adhoc general admin duties.

Hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00-18:00 and rota'd Saturday cover to be confirmed.

Salary will be negotiable on employment depending on experience.

About you:

Excellent communication and organisational skills with a good command of the English language.

CPC desirable but not essential.

Mandata/Stirling or similar TMS knowledge desirable but no essential

Salary:
From £35,000.00 per year
