The Role


You will be responsible for leading working with the existing processes to ensure plans for excellence in health and safety, driving delivery through the shop floor managers and teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver health and safety processes, systems and programmes which uphold business reputation, and in line with industry best practice and the needs of teams.
  • Delivery of health and safety services and associated improvement plans, to ensure industry leading processes and systems which are efficient, effective and which support the delivery of safe production.
  • Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead, performance manage, motivate and develop team members.
  • Monitor existing and incoming legislation and regulations on health and safety in order to ensure that the organization complies with their requirements.
  • Assessing and analyzing the risk(s) associated with particular work schedule(s).
  • Responsible for engaging members of staff in periodic training to update them on their roles in the maintenance of minimum standards of safety.
  • Ensure that company's policy on health and safety does not just end as mere policies but that they are complied with at every point in time.
  • Qualified to NEBOSH diploma level or equivalent
  • Excellent experience of working as a Health and Safety Manager within the Engineering sector
  • Very strong people skills motivating, influencing, demonstrable experience of delivering change and working with existing processes
  • Working autonomously with the experience of driving the Health and Safety procedures to be at the forefront of the shopfloor workers minds
