Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
  • Provide oneonone or small group support to students with special needs, including those with autism
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students in their academic and social development
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Provide feedback to the lead teacher on student performance and behavior

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children, especially those with special needs or autism, is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
