Salary - £30,833 per annum plus Veolia benefits


Hours - 40 hours a week Monday - Friday


Location - Lumley Street Service Centre, Lumley Street, Sheffield, S4 7ZJ

What will you be doing?

  • To manage the collection crews and ensure they are complying with all relevant legislation and all company policies and procedures in relation to their roles.
  • To investigate and resolve with the crews, missed collections, complaints, service failures and report to the Operations Managers any resolutions
  • Ensure that the driver daily checks are completed on time and accurately.
  • Investigate promptly any accidents / Incidents, near misses and safety concerns that are entered onto AVA and report any further action that may be required to the Operations Managers.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all staff, members of the public and the Client and promote partnership working at all times.
  • Deliver any basic training requirements for the drivers and crews to include: Inductions, Operations of the vehicles and lifting equipment, Risk Assessments and Method Statements relating to their roles

What are we looking for?

  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
  • Experience in managing operational staff
  • Experience in dealing with Unions and a Unionised Workforce
  • Be flexible and adaptable in the work tasks
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong people person
