CK Group is recruiting for a Technician to join a pharmaceutical company in Hull on a permanent basis.

About Our Client:

Our client specializes in providing resources to the pre-clinical research market, contributing to the development of life-saving therapies and treatments for humans and animals.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform daily animal husbandry duties including feeding, watering, cleaning, animal handling and observation under the direction of team leaders or buddies.
Monitor and record the animal unit environment, ensuring temperatures are within acceptable ranges and animal housing meets necessary standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of animal rooms, associated areas and equipment according to established work instructions.
Keep accurate records of departmental activities, including day books, production data reports and stock availability records.
Receive and dispatch goods entering/leaving the animal facility while adhering to proper sterilization procedures to maintain animal barrier status.
Participate in animal reproduction processes such as birthing, weaning, sexing, counting and weighing.
Implement basic animal breeding systems and understand the importance of selecting replacement breeding stock based on specific criteria.
Rearrange and group animals in accordance with Home Office guidelines under team leader direction.

Education & Experience:

Hold a Level 2 Diploma in Animal Management.
Demonstrate experience in routine manual work requiring attention to detail.
Show expertise in routine animal husbandry practices.
Have experience handling various animal species on site.
