A unique Special Needs School with a community feel, based in West London near Hillingdon is recruiting several new Special Needs LSA's to start immediately.

You will be responsible for working as part of the support team, under the direction of the class teacher assisting small classes but also alone working 1 to 1 with a student.

The school is filled with the best available resources to support a creative, multi-sensory environment for pupils to develop.

My client is a specialist Education Provider for young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), aged 16-25 with SpecialEducational Needs (SEN).

The schools study programmes are individualised to the needs of each learner to prepare them for education at the next level or for employment.

All learners have access to regular one-to-ones for emotional and wellbeing support, alongsidewith the Enrichment Programme and Careers Support.

The successful applicants will be offered a long-term full-time role for a full academic year, and with the potential to be extended thereafter.

The school will invest heavily in your development and encourage career progression and professional development through regular CPD training. Permanent contracts will be offered to those who distinguish themselves this year.

About the School

Caters for individual aged 16 years old to 25 years old
In partnership with other special schools that regularly use the training facilities available
Outstanding leadership team who encourages inhouse career progression
Assembly/sports/dining hall with specialist light and sound facilities
Accessible/adapted toilet/changing areas with plinths and hoists
All classrooms have computers/interactive whiteboards with appropriate switches, software and internet access.

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

Have experience working with SEN on a 1 to 1 basis
Have experience working within an SEN Setting.
Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
Recent classroombased references and valid DBS/police checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
You must have legal right to work in the UK
You must be willing to attend a registration interview
