Job Description:


Joining Culina Group as an Assistant Finance Business Partner you will undertakes a key role to partner in the delivery and development of the IT finance processes, controls and reporting.

An important role in helping to deliver a quality service to IT colleagues, pushing finance knowledge and skills down through management layers in IT and finance to improve overall financial capability and accountability.


As an Assistant Finance Business Partner you will play an increasingly important role with the SAP S4 HANA project, to ensure that the reporting capabilities of the new system meet both local and Group reporting requirements, including outputs in the format and granularity required by our Group colleagues.


This position reports into the Group Reporting Manager and supports the wider Culina Group Reporting Team in ensuring that that the consolidated financial performance of the business is reported in a timely and accurate manner, providing information key to the decision making across the business.


The Culina Group Assistant Finance Business Partner position is a senior role within the Culina Group Reporting Team and is pivotal to the development and continuing improvements in reporting to both Muller and within Culina Group.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the CIO in the management of the global IT Budget through timely delivery of financial reports.
  • Driving the consolidation of the Group IT Budget, extracting elements from each Business Unit into one Group IT Budget.
  • Preparation and explanation of all IT intergroup recharges.
  • Contributing to the quarterly reforecast process, supporting each Business Unit to revise forecasts to the same level of granularity as the Budget process.
  • Complete monthly reporting, including variance analysis, for key stakeholders to allow insight to feed into decision making.
This will include the creation and maintenance of monthly IT finance reports, highlighting the following:


  • Actual expenditure vs Budget
  • Actual expenditure vs latest Forecast
  • CapEx tracking supporting the PMO
  • Creating 3 year OpEx impact tracking (e.g. CapEx impacts, RPI impacts, Contract reductions).
  • Assist the Group Reporting Manager in driving a continuous improvement in financial reporting processes aimed at increasing the overall quality of the financial reporting process (i.e. standardisation, efficiency and accuracy).
  • Analysis of systems and processes including identification of functionality gaps in system and/or processes.
  • Supporting IT Procurement in financial analysis of procurement activity.

Qualifications:


  • Part qualified/ Qualified Accountant
  • Evidence of industry working with senior members of the Executive team.
  • Financial background.
  • Previous work experience in IT Finance, business partnering with IT stakeholders, communicating with offshore teams.
  • SAP knowledge advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge in budgeting, forecasting and reporting through an annual cycle is essential.
