Financial Accountant

£50,000

South Gloucester


We are proud to be assisting this established family-run business with its search for a new Financial Accountant who will take on a lead role within their finance team.

Working closely with senior management, this is a great opportunity to develop financialstrategies which will allow the company to forge forward in an ever-changing modern world.


The ideal Financial Accountant will be comfortable with handling large amounts of data, acting as a decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting.

A big part of the role will be to embrace new practices which will aim to improve efficiency whilstmaintaining standards to uphold their service which is steeped in tradition.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the running of the day to day operations of the finance department
  • Statutory accounts preparation
  • Complete financial accounting and forecasting
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of yearend audit requirements, and assistance with annual budgets
  • Be an integral part of the management team
  • Supervision of other members of the accounting team
  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns

Skills/ Experience:


  • ACA, ACCA (or similar) qualified
  • Fluency in all areas of Microsoft
  • Knowledge of Sage software system is desirable
  • Detail orientated and analytical
  • Relevant field experience
  • Technical reporting experience
