Salary:
£58,000 to £60,000

The role:


  • Provides effective financial partnership to the COO focusing upon the IT & Technology spend
  • Successfully provides financial data suitable for various audiences, including clients or internal business partners
  • Key duties include financial planning, analysis, business plans, business cases, payroll, and technical accounting for capital and operating expenses
  • Maintains effective controls to maximize profits and to ensure conformity with budgets
  • Works closely with procurement, IT leadership & COO to develop effective strategy and cost management across the technology estate
  • Reports accurate financial results for areas of responsibility on a monthly basis and/or in accordance with established timelines or other ad hoc needs; may include verifying operational usage to P&L and/or overseeing the preparation of accurate forecasting/budgetingand transformation activities
  • Partners with business leadership to successfully deliver profit improvement and/or financial success against contract terms
  • Utilizes contract terms, pricing options, and compliance requirements to make recommendations on deal/commercial contracts

About you:


  • Highly numerate with strong analytical, data modelling and problemsolving capabilities enabled by advanced Excel skills
  • Power BI or Python data mining (desirable)
  • Finance professional, with a strong grasp of financial management, business partnering and performance management with relevant accounting qualifications (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or similar)
  • Interest/understanding of IT infrastructure/networks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills appropriate for engaging a diverse range of audiences and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels across the business functions and influence senior management/directors and wider stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team and the strength of character to challenge the business and influence decision making
  • Appetite to engage in projects or additional responsibilities as an opportunity for career progression
