This role acts as the first contact for potential students at a BSC Education college.
As a result, this is in many ways the most important interaction the student will have before their course begins.
The role of Course Consultant combines sales techniques with a consultative and mentoring approach, to provide the required level of support to allow the prospective student to make the right choice - that BSC offers the right course in the right location for them
This role would suit a person that has consultative sales experience previously.
This could be gained in the tourism or hospitality sector or other sectors where a consultative approach is required to close a sale.
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to, those listed below.
1. Sales Focus
To prioritise 'warm' leads and prepare for each call
To take a prospective student through a series of questions based on their initial enquiry in order to provide them with relevant and pertinent information to make a decision
To maintain detailed call notes on each conversation and remain knowledgeable about the prospective student
Understand the stage the prospective student is at before starting a follow up call.
To guide prospective students through a course and location evaluation based on their requirements
To provide support in decision making and offer to send additional information as required during the call or as part of an arranged follow up
2. Brand, Marketing & Communications
Identifying market opportunities based on conversations with students and share this insight during weekly team meetings
Representing BSC at trade shows, exhibitions and events as required by the needs of the business
Responsibility for ensuring the BSC Brand is correctly represented through an in-depth knowledge of the product
Interacting with eh wider BSC team via Yammer (sharing success stories etc)
Required Experience & Skills
- A professional salesperson with an interest in the commercial function of a business.
- While Education experience is preferable but not required, the post holder must have significant experience in a service led role
- A strong focus record of delivering results and working towards targets
- Flexible to meet the needs of the business and demonstrate a passion for your customers and colleagues
- An excellent level of spoken English plus a European, Asian or Arabic language
- Proactive and engaging, with good phone manner.
- A keen attention to detail and ability to ask open questions.
- Ability to work remotely both independently and as part of a team
- Receptive to training and feedback
Training
Full product knowledge training will be provided
A handbook will be provided giving insights and links to all relevant information
On going training will be provided on an individual and group need basis.
