Overview:


You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 3 IT Cloud Network Specialist Apprenticeship.

The Apprentice Network Infrastructure Technician will work alongside our engineers to gain a thorough understanding of the equipment,
installation, and maintenance methodologies.


Duties / Area's to cover:


Network Cabling

  • Cabling
  • Termination
  • Labelling
  • Testing

Audio Visual

  • Remove legacy equipment
  • Installation of Interactive Whiteboards and Projectors

CCTV

  • Assist with the installation of CCTV cameras
  • Access Control
  • Assist with the installation of Access Control systems

Wi-Fi

  • Installation of wireless access points

Special Requirements:


  • There will be an element of travel involved in this role, therefore having a full and valid driving licence and access to your own transport is essential
  • DBS checks will be carried out prior to employment

Entry requirements:


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

Employment basis:

16-month fixed term contract.


Contractual hours:

37.5 hours per week.


Salary:

£12,000 per annum.


Holidays:

20 holidays per annum, plus Statutory Bank Holidays.


Future prospects:


  • Full time position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
  • Advance to higher level apprenticeship progression within the business to other roles

Important Information:


QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.


To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
