What you'll be doing

As part of the update process, you'll work with the Project Manager and other members of the Project Team to gather updates from their area of expertise, assessing schedule risk associated with the information received and, where necessary, highlighting programme delivery risk and possible programming solutions to alleviate or mitigate the risk.

You'll assess discreet projects and how they integrated into the wider portfolio of work, highlighting & communicating interactions and potential clashes as they emerge - allowing issues to be resolved by the Project Teams e at the earliest opportunity

Following the programme update cycle you'll assess the impact of the programme updates with the Project Unit Manager and Project Managers through review of portfolio level reports, to determine emerging issues and divergence between baselines and forecasts - communicating where programme interventions may assist with budget/resource/schedule efficiencies and savings.

You'll generate and develop new project plans for SP Transmission Major Projects in a coherent and consistent format, resolving all project-centric scope or specific issues by interfacing with members of the Project Team and by planning techniques to determine and display interactions between discreet projects, highlighting potential clashes in advance - allowing project teams to solve issues at the earliest opportunity.

You'll review the quality of and accuracy of project programmes from other areas of the Planning Dept., providing detailed and constructive feedback, allowing continual improvement of programme quality, accuracy and consistency as well as update project plans at a pre-determined frequency (usually monthly); obtaining the relevant inputs through collaboration with other Project Team Members.
