Starting salary will be on the first point of Band 6 on a 3-year fixed-term
contract.


The NHS in Wales is offering4salaried post-graduate training programmes inAudiologyfor high-calibre science graduates who are passionate about science and its role in patient care.

Audiology involves identifying, assessing and managing hearing and balance function and their associated disorders. Clinical Scientists in Audiology work in patient-facing roles engaging with patients of all ages as part of a team. The primary categories of sub-specialist activity include paediatrics, diagnostics, and rehabilitation (including surgically implantable
devices). Audiology is an attractive specialism for those looking to combine use of scientific, technological, clinical, and communication skills. There is a focus on leadership, innovation, development and research to improve patient outcomes. Trainees may be required to rotate through other areas, which will involve secondments at other locations. On completion of training, prospects for permanent employment within Wales are excellent. For individuals with aptitude and commitment there are opportunities to progress through the career pathway to Consultant Clinical Scientist. This is an excellent
