We are currently looking for metal shop machine operators to join our client in Gillingham, immediate starts are available. Full time permanent vacancy available.

Metal Shop operative - Starting £12.85 per hour increasing to £13.85 with effect from 1st April.
**Hours:

  • 2pm 10pm** Reliable.
  • Physically fit and healthy.
  • Must have good understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Level 2 Numerate & Literate or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy an advantage.
  • To be highly motivated, to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • To work in a methodical and tidy manner.
  • To be able to understand and follow instructions from a supervisor.

Main Duties:

  • Operating Metalworking Equipment
  • Both Automated and Manual
  • Equipment may include: Punch Machines Power Press/Brake Press Fold Equipment Roll Form Equipment Spot Welders Clinch Tooling Riveting Equipment Grinding/ Linnishing Equipment Crane/Hoist Equipment
  • Other duties may involve working on Powder Coating Paint Lines
  • Follow all Quality Control guidelines set by the Company.
  • Follow the requirements of the Company's ISO Procedures.
  • Follow the Company's Health and Safety Policy, work instructions & safe systems of work.

Other duties may include but not restricted to:

  • Operating metalworking equipment, both automated and manual equipment.
  • Working on powder coating paint lines.
  • Assembly of light fittings

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From £12.85 per hour
