Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and assess a small intervention class for Key Stage 2 SEND students in the mornings.
- Provide support to SEND students within mainstream classes, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Collaborate with class teachers to implement strategies and accommodations for SEND students.
- Assist the SENDCo with paperwork, meetings, and reviews related to SEND provision.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies involved in supporting SEND students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Unqualified Teacher Status (UQT) with relevant experience.
- Experience teaching children with SEND, either in mainstream or specialist provision, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, best practices, and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to pursue further training in SEND.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience working in a similar role or a desire to pursue a career as a SENDCo.
- Additional qualifications or training related to Special Educational Needs.
Pay:
£100.00-£150.00 per day
