About the role

Salary:
£22,359 FTE, £13,454 prorated


Hours: 26 per week, 39 weeks of the year (TTO + INSET days)


About you
We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, conscientious and caring individual to join our team of Teaching assistants.

The ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to use initiative and work independently are essential skills.

It would be strongly desirable if applicants have completed ELSA training as the role will ideally involve taking responsibility for running and implementing the ELSA programme.

Lyde Green Primary School is excited to be recruiting a full time
Teaching Assistant to join us on a
permanent basis.

About us
Lyde Green Primary is a fresh and exciting new school based at Lyde Green near Bristol.

Our aim is to inspire and encourage a passion for lifelong learning in our children, sparking curiosity, promoting creativity and nurturing developing passions to ensure that our children grow and thrive on their journey through school.

Our curriculum places huge importance on reading and a love of books. It also promotes the 'big ideas' of diversity, society and exploration.


Our dedicated team of staff model themselves as lifelong learners and put our children's best interests at the heart of everything they do and they work hard to ensure children remain challenged, motivated and engaged with their learning throughout their time with us.


The school currently has 480 children comprising two EYFS classes, three Y1, three Y2 classes, three Y3, two Y4, two Y5 and one Y6 class.

In September 2023 this will grow to just under 510 children.

Lyde Green Primary School also has a Specialist Access Centre for up to 16 children with a diagnosis of ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions).

About the role

Hours: 35 hours per week plus 30 minute unpaid lunch break (8:15am. to 3:45p.m.). You'll be working term time only + INSET days.


Salary:
CSET 9. £24,496 FTE, £19,892 prorated.


As well as providing support and assistance to teaching staff throughout the school, you will have responsibility for supporting one of our pupils with specialised needs.

They will need support and commitment from you to ensure their needs are met throughout the school day. You will also provide planned bespoke interventions with groups of children across the school.
