The Vacancy
About the role and the team
We are currently recruiting for two
Support Workers to join a team of professionals delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable young people who are care leavers, living in supported accommodation.
You will hold a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will take joint responsibility with your team for the day to day support of all clients in the services.
Proactively working in partnership with multiple agencies you will support the well-being of clients. You will adopt a flexible and personalised approach to clients and involve them in the decisions made about them.
This job role is a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role, working a mixture of days, evenings and weekends to meet the needs of young people and ensure that they have full staff support during their most difficult times.

This role is being advertised as a Support Worker, on appointment your job title will be Progression Coach.
About you:
You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Experience of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness
- An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use
- A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
- Experience of managing a large case load, recording and record keeping
