Description
We are currently seeking an organised individual to join our team as a Band 2 Ward Clerk within our Acute Medical Assessment Unit, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.
As a Ward Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth running of the ward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient administrative support to the ward, including maintaining accurate and uptodate records, managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges,
- Reception duties which include answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries, ensuring accurate and timely communication within the ward,
- Monitor and order stationery, ensuring necessary stock levels are maintained,
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised ward environment,
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families, maintaining a professional and compassionate approach at all times,
- Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies, ensuring sensitive information is handled with discretion,
- Participate in relevant training and development activities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and patient administration systems would be advantageous however, full training will be provided.
