A successful and market-leading client of ours is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to lead and develop their small Finance team.

You would report to the FD, but most of the day to day running of the function would fall under your responsibility.

Overtime they have built a solid team that now just needs general supervision.

Job Scope:

Other than the management of the team, the majority of your time would be spent on management accounts and month end duties such as posting journals, preparing the management accounts pack, balance sheet recs, VAT returns etc.

Further responsibilities would include, cash control, budgeting/forecasting, and overseeing payroll.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Management and development of the team
  • Running month end
  • Management accounts
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Managing the fixed asset ledger in excel
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Cash management
  • Liaising with auditors at year end
  • Supplier management (approving payment runs etc.)

Experience and personal attributes required:


  • Experience of leading a small to medium size finance team
  • Ability to maintain a detail orientated approach even while under pressure
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with own responsibilities, including the supervision of the wider function
