Our client, a UK specialist manufacturing company based in Cirencester, are currently recruiting for senior production planner to join them on a permanent basis.

The role will involve planning and resource support to the manufacturing function to ensurethat production targets are met and customer delivery is achieved for all product ranges.

Key Responsibilities:


This role will be reporting into the Manufacturing Manager and will be required to be onsite 5 days a week in Cirencester, as you will be required to attend daily production meetings to deliver plans and ensure they are being adhered to.

Expedite supply to meet the plan, resolve issues and highlight risks and within the daily meetings you will be responsible for highlighting issues and opportunities to the team

Actively work with the Sourcing team regarding raw materials

You will be responsible for supply planning and scheduling to meet the forecast

Providing planning schedules to production

Provide clear visibility of short-term capacity requirements

Identify improvement areas within planning that will improve efficiency and delivery performance

Analyse and maintain robust KPIs to monitor, control and improve performance


Experience, attributes & skills sought:


This role will suit someone who has experience in a similar role within a high volume, highly regulated operations environment, preferably in manufacturing.


Our client is looking for someone who is a strong communicator and forward thinker with the ability to think outside the box continuously improve planning to reduce lead times to shopfloor and deliver higher volumes.

You need to have the ability to plan your own workload and successfully manage and balance priorities whilst achieving positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations

Possess strong management principles and excellent leadership skills with past demonstration of leading people to get results through others by developing working relationships at all levels within the business

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess risk and determine the path forward to minimize business impact

Excellent analysis and evaluation skills with a drive to challenge

Be data & KPI focused and have the ability to communicate this to the wider business
