Food & Beverage Assistant
Job Purpose:
To provide a warm, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to our guests and external customers, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and maintained at all times.
To maintain the cellar - weekly deep clean deliveries and stock rotationKey Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating an enjoyable and welcoming environment for our guests and external customers
- Ensure guests and customers are greeted promptly
- Ensure that all guests' and customers' requests and queries and responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is delivered at all times
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure that clear communication to the bar and kitchen is carried out promptly
- Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guests and customers expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is maintained at all times
- Promptly clear, sanitise and set up tables after use to ensure the areas look presentable and inviting
- Ensure the bistro and bar areas are clean and well presented at all times and ensure all cleaning duties are carried out
- Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. All guest complaints and comments must be reported to management
- Facilitate payments by customers using our POS system as trained
- Prepare all back of house service points bistro kitchen area and bar cellar
- Assist in the preparation and set up, and provide service duties for functions as required
- Assist in putting deliveries away food and beverage
- Ensure that both front of house areas are kept well maintained and clean at all times
- Check customers ID and age verification
- Must upsell products at any given opportunity bar and bistro
- Monitor and replenish stock levels as and when required
- Any other duties as directed from your Supervisor, Assistant F&B Manager, Deputy Manager, General Manager
Key Requirements:
- Accurate and efficient cash handling skills
- High standard of personal hygiene and presentation
- Extrovert personality with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to interact with people at all different levels
- Passion for delivering exceptional service
- Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests, external clients and colleagues
- Have the physical ability to fulfill your job description i.e standing for long periods of time, being able to lift heavy items (boxes of stock) maneuvering heavy items (barrels/tables etc), able to work in confined spaces (beer cellar/store rooms) after manual handling training
- Ability to work well under pressure and juggle priorities in a busy, fast paced environment with minimum supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
Pay:
£9.25-£10.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:

- Wallingford, OX10 0BS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
