Purpose of the Role:

  • To work with senior colleagues to support the pillar with placement, and servicing client needs, maintain client loyalty and encourage business growth. This role is at a junior level, for someone who wants to a career in the insurance industry and will be fully supported with training plans and opportunity to complete professional qualifications while working.

Key Role Accountabilities:


  • All placing, contract and closing documentation satisfies the client requirements and complies with internal procedures.
  • Manages client requirements in accordance with the terms of appointment, to maintain a strong client relationship, support renewal and encourage additional business.
  • Plan and coordinate renewal strategies.
  • Contributes to retention of clients through planned and coordinated account renewal.
  • Identifies and develops opportunities for account development to meet client requirements.
  • Ensure agreed payment terms and payment warranties and met through credit control.
  • Educate clients and manage client expectations through market, insurance, and sector briefings.
  • Coordinate and manage client and placement records.
  • Preparing market submissions and placing documentation including MRC's, cover notes & addenda, credit & debit notes, and endorsements.
  • Maintaining clear, accurate and comprehensive files reflecting the transactions undertaken on behalf of clients.
  • Inviting and monitoring renewal instructions
  • Logging of all quotes and enquiries
  • Daily monitoring with Marine team to monitor bad debt, cash, and funding.
  • Bordereaux monitoring for current binders and line slips.
  • Assisting with "know your client" due diligence procedures.
  • Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor timeliness of the placement process to ensure Contract Certainty is achieved and timely invoicing is achieved.
  • Generally providing support to the producers/brokers within the Division
  • Carrying out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be required
  • Coordinating with the Operations Team and assisting the team with new Operations requirements.
