Editor - Publication & Events

Base salary up to $70k Base Salary + Bonus + Company Benefits

Based in New York, USA - Hybrid working

For this role, you must be USA based

The Editor role

Writing and Editing
Research and write the Editor's Note for each digital publication issue
Produce articles reporting on what's happening in the industry i.e. latest news & hot topics
Source contributions from industry leaders
Manage current columnists, and find additional ones.
Interview industry leaders
Create the editorial calendar for an annual media kit
Cover supporting partners' events

Social Media and Website

Develop a brand presence on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter) sharing content as well as standalone social media content
Feature breaking news items on the website and keep updated on information occurring in the industry in realtime

Additional tasks

Produce two newsletters each month. Providing the marketing team with the items to feature such as links to breaking news, featured articles in current issues, latest podcasts, and/or webinars
Create company webinars and podcasts as well as custom webinar series for organizations. Moderating the webinars and podcasts and supporting the marketing team in creating tailored campaigns to promote each webinar from start to finish.
Propose, produce, and moderate sessions at conferences and take part in judging for Awards.

The skills & experience required for this Editor role

At least two years of experience as an Editor
Outstanding and confident communicator written and spoken
Willingness to travel as required
An interest in and/or knowledge of the telecommunications industry
Proven ability to write quickly and accurately
Ability to work effectively and independently
Excellent time management and organization skills
