Main Purpose/Job Summary:
Working as part of a team, the Software Tester will support business success by completing thorough and robust testing on our award-winning forensic software products.
The Tester will be required to translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans, cases and steps as well as identify test cases that are suitable for automation.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

- Understanding the business domain and user requirements to allow you to contribute to the technology solutions we provide.
- Developing and executing test plans in an agile development environment
- Record test results, report and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.
- Oversee performance testing and present results for validation and analysis Documenting defects and working with developers to recreate issues and validate fixes.
- Executing tests using both automation tools and manual methods as applicable to demonstrate and validate system performance and behaviour.

Essential skills and experience -
years' experience in an manual software testing role
- ISTQB foundation in Software Testing
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Personable, team player and independent thinker
- Good understanding of STLC & SDLC
- Organized with an attention to detail.
- Understanding of agile software development practices
- Natural curiosity and good judgment
- Working with AzureDevops
- Test plans
Desirable skills and experience but not essential -
- Understanding of automation frameworks and testing
- Automation testing experience
- Computer forensics or working in a forensic environment.
- Awareness of IT security issues and operating under a ISO quality system
- Experience with different operating systems (i.e. Windows, Mac, and Linux)
- An interest in technology and computers
- Full driving license
Education:
- Relevant degree, NVQ/HNC/HND or similar would be advantageous

Other Role Requirements
- Minimum 5 years UK residency
- Satisfactorily pass prehire and annual security clearance procedures in accordance with the ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) National Vetting Scheme.
