This is an exciting opportunity to join the General Surgery Team.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual to join our team of Waiting List Coordinators, to actively support the Directorate in the efficient and effective management of the inpatient waiting lists.

The post holder will be responsible for scheduling of fully utilised theatre lists.

Liaising with Consultants, Coordinators in OSCCA and Sub-Specialty Coordinator to ensure efficient planning and escalate any underutilisation or capacity issues in a timely manner.

Robustly manage a PTL against local and national waiting times in accordance to the Access Policy.


Be responsible for informing Theatre and Anaesthetic Teams of the Theatre list requirements within the Directorate, such as KIT requirements, including bespoke items and products.

Ensuring any cancellations or changes are communicated to appropriate department and persons


Use appropriate booking processes to facilitate the admission of patients adding, removing and suspending patients to and from the inpatient waiting list.

Be responsible for making sure all relevant information is accurately recorded on Lorenzo, ORMIS, CBBS, COO report and diaries.


Be responsible for the production of theatre lists using the ORMIS database ensuring all relevant information is recorded and documented including updating alterations making sure they are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
