Description

The successful applicant will provide comprehensive administrative support to EBME (Electro Bio-Medical Engineering) in Glan Clwyd Hospital and the Central region of the Health Board.

The post requires the ability to prioritise various demands and to work for considerable periods without direct supervision.


You will be responsible for ensuring continuity of patient services by operating the EBME Help Desk, acting as the first point of contact for requests to repair medical equipment, ordering spare parts, general enquiries from our service users and provide support to the technical staff with general administrative duties.

To provide the administrative function in support of the EBME technical staff.


To ensure accurate, timely information is entered and maintained on the appropriate databases and all records are updated and modified on a daily basis.

To place requisitions on Oracle and general stores, monitoring and ordering equipment spares for EBME.


To order and receive goods on Oracle as required and arrange for the return of duplicated goods and complete appropriate correspondence, to chase up any outstanding orders.

To operate a Reception service for the department and handle customer enquiries as required.

To receive and process equipment and then distribute as appropriate, maintain accurate documentation and correct labelling of new equipment.

To work in conjunction with Technicians, arranging for equipment that requires servicing to be returned to the department.

To raise queries to agencies such as NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP - Employment Services, Supplies, Finance, etc)

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
