Our mission within Fraud CIO is to design, deliver and evolve best-in-class fraud capabilities to protect our customers and to establish Santander as the global lead for preventing economic crime.

We're seeking a talented Technical Lead to join our team in Fraud CIO.

As a Tech Lead, you'll be leading the building and maintaining multiple features across the Fraud estate that will help protect our customers from Fraud and scams while already providing a smooth and clear experience within our digital channels.


You'll be responsible for leading the implementation of software from start to finish; while also guiding and supporting the backend and testing engineers in the area, leading by example and setting best practises for the guild.


The difference you'll make.

  • Leading the implementation of software by being involved throughout the SDLC
  • Analysing possible project challenges and constraints (Risks, Time, Resources and Scope), identifying options and mitigating actions
  • Supporting the coordination and execution of technical testing, destructive or high availability test and performance test
  • Working with the Fraud CIO Technical Leads/Analysts in solution design ensuring initiative alignment to the fraud strategic technical roadmap
  • Contributing to the Technical Lead/Analyst Guild including making recommendations on architecture best practices, standards and patterns where necessary
  • Supporting the core team's working practices, managing dependencies and commitment from multiple contributing teams

What you'll bring.

  • Solid technical background with an ability to unpick complex problems
  • Strong experience with API development, Microservice architecture and pipelines
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira and Confluence tools
  • Experience with continuous delivery practices
  • Scoping project requirements, considerations, and dependencies
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience working within AWS
  • Experience in authorisation or delivering Fraud related initiatives
  • Knowledge of Open API, OAuth2, Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab, Github & Kubernetes
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel

This role is based in Milton Keynes and you will be expected to spend 40% of your time in this office.

  • 1st Stage Technical assessment.
2nd Stage - 75 mins formal interview covering technical and competency-based questions. This will be done virtually or in-person at Milton Keynes office.
