A bit about you...


Are you passionate about people and delivering the highest level of support to your stakeholders? An opportunity for a People Coordinator has just arisen within our incredibly friendly and collaborative People Team on a 12-month contract.

Applicants will demonstrate a keen interest and enthusiasm for HR and related specialisms, with a good knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures and affinity for systems, processes and their continuous improvement.


Reporting to the People Operations Manager, you be responsible for the submission of staff payroll and reporting, supporting line managers and other stakeholders with tasks relating to the employment lifecycle as well as involvement in the delivery of projects.

Main Responsibilities

Here are some essential skills we are looking for:

  • Contributing to the completion of payroll submissions (data entry, reporting and resolving payroll data requirements to monthly payroll timelines)
  • Completing actions relating to the employment lifecycle (family friendly absences, flexible working requests, hours changes, promotions and leavers)
  • Supporting the lifecycle of visitors; students including verifying individuals that meet requirements under the government immigration rules; issuing visitor letters.
  • Supporting managers and employees with Workday (HR system) actions and queries (e.g. annual leave, sickness, new starter access etc)
  • Identify and assist with the delivery of projects and ongoing continuous improvements
  • Events coordination working with the People Development Team
We would be delighted if you also had the following skills/experience:
Supporting our People Team requires an adaptive approach, so you will need to be flexible and resilient to change. You should be comfortable managing a varied workload and taking ownership

for tasks within a project or service, and regularly review priorities to meet your deadlines.

Due to the busy nature of this role, the post holder must demonstrate sound administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail and taking ownership.


Previous experience of using specialist HR systems to action recruitment, enter employment and salary information is preferred, with working knowledge of Workday as highly desirable although not essential.

In addition, you have experience with payroll, as we well as producing HRS reports for management reporting.

  • Ability to juggle priorities to achieve monthly tasks, quarterly results and adhoc work.
  • Able to communicate clearly and with confidence. Must be empathetic and able to support staff and managers, coping with sensitive and difficult situations
  • Good basic numeracy skills required for working with numbers (e.g., overtime forms) and analysis of data for management information (e.g., absence monitoring)
  • Experience of IT systems such as SharePoint; Teams; Outlook; OneDrive; Word and Excel
  • Good data entry skills and able to handle personal data confidentially
