Additional Learning Needs Administrator

18.5 hours per week

Salary:
£11,010 - £12,235


The post provides an opportunity for an enthusiastic and eager person to contribute to ensuring Coleg Gwent provides high quality Additional Learning Needs support to learners with difficulties and/or disabilities.

Your role will centre on providing administrative support for Additional Learning Needs as directed by the campus Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator and Additional Learning Needs Manager


Core tasks include:
- checking pay claims and staff timetables
- ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained
- communicating with schools to support effective transition arrangements for new learners.

You will be expected to work closely with the campus Additional Learning Needs Co-Ordinator and Additional Support Assistants.

You need to have a minimum of 3 GCSE's at Grade C or above, including Maths and English. Some knowledge of Additional Learning Needs is desirable.

You will be IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.


You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with learners, colleagues and members of the public.

The ability to use the Welsh language at basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable
