Do you want the opportunity to work in a team that is committed to supporting Young People who are homeless with a variety of support needs, in a trauma-informed way?
Our Way Leeds is a is a consortium service delivered by Foundation, Turning Lives Around and Gipsil, offering accommodation and floating support to empower young people aged 16-25 to live independently.
We are recruiting a floating night support worker to be based in Armley, Leeds for the Our Way Leeds core & community cluster service.
Gipsil, Turning Lives Around and Foundation are Leeds based charities that provides life-changing support to vulnerable people across the city of Leeds.
Young people supported by Our Way Leeds benefit from access to in house welfare advice services, wellbeing coordinators, intensive support workers and counselling, ensuring that we can provide a multi-faceted approach to support.
As part of the Our Way Leeds (core & cluster) team you will:
- Work as part of a team providing 24-hour support to young homeless people
- Provide additional support to existing night support worker teams
- Be based in our services in West Leeds
- Work on a set rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.
You will be supporting clients:
- Towards independent living so that they can manage their own tenancy in the future
- To improve their health and wellbeing
- To manage their tenancies responsibly
You will be helping the team:
- Look after our properties and report repairs and maintenance issues
- Support young people across two sites in either the East, South or West locality
- Take care of housing management matters
