The Opportunity


We are looking for an Construction Superintendent to support us, initially on a 4-6 monthly PSC contract basis based at MGT Teesside, reporting to the Construction Manager.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Trade qualified or BTEC (Higher) or equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • SMTD or equivalent
  • Provide total task ownership in relation to Contractors field construction activities
  • Promote Life Saving Rules and Behavioural Safety Engagements
  • Coordinate/screen technical queries
  • Input into the generation and coordinate the resolution of NCR's
  • Broad understanding of industry specific legislation
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of managing and coordinating Construction Contractors acting as Principal Contractor
  • Support Construction Contractor premobilisation prerequisites including RAMS, Schedule and Competency
  • Conduct active and measurable HSSE and Quality surveillance
  • Provide regular progress updates including input to the construction schedule
  • Highlight and intervene in instances of HSSE, Quality, Schedule or Cost related risk
  • Keep accurate construction activity logs
  • Provide input to estimate and schedule development
  • Provide input as required to construction reviews, meetings and workshops
