Freeman Johnson Solicitors - Durham CityWe are currently recruiting for an Receptionist to work in our Durham City office.
As Receptionist you'll be expected to turn your hand to various jobs whilst maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Start Date:
Within the next four weeks.
Salary:
Meets national minimum wage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES:
- Postal duties collection of post on a morning, delivery of mail to post box on a night, delivery of recorded / special mail to the post office;
- Photocopying and preparation of legal documents for the courts;
- Answering the telephone / making telephone calls to clients and solicitors;
- Stationary stock control;
- Copy typing possibly audio typing as well although training will be provided;
- Scanning of completed files;
- Front of house meeting and greeting clients, dealing with queries from clients, arranging appointments accordingly;
- Act in accordance with the Data Protection Act;
- Handling petty cash and payments;
- Banking responsibilities.

- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to multitask;
- Basic Numeracy and Literacy skills;
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft and Excel packages;
- Ability to work independently and as part of small and busy team;
- Responsible;
- Punctual;
- Efficient;
- Be able to use own initiative;
- Excellent telephone manner.
Salary:
Up to £21,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Durham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
