My client is a global brand that offers a range of integrated services. Their non-financial Risk Advisory team offers unrivalled depth of experience in providing solutions based on their client needs.
They design, implement and provide assurance over risk operating models and business processes to help manage non-financial risks their clients face on a day to day basis.
They are currently seeking to attract individuals who bring an understanding of non-financial risk and regulatory issues facing the insurance market to help them deliver their services to clients and grow their risk management capabilities internally.
Your focus will be on providing innovative solutions to clients across enterprise risk management, operational risk management or risk culture and contributing to their ambitious growth plans in the Insurance market.
- Educating and advising both internal and external stakeholders on current non-financial risk management themes and trends in the market and translating these into understandable and tangible insights and becoming their 'trusted' adviser;
- Delivering highquality reviews, design and implementation of enterprise and operational risk management operating models, strategies, frameworks, associated risk management policies and processes consistent with regulatory requirements and market practices;
- Delivering projects to evaluate risk culture to identify areas of strength to build on and areas requiring improvement followed up by implementation of tangible action plans to help strengthen clients' risk intelligent culture;
- Acting in the capacity of 'engagement manager', taking ownership for all aspects of engagement delivery from scoping, programme and team selection through to delivery, risk and quality management and budgetary control;
To qualify for the role you should have:
Financial Services experience, either as part of a Financial Services Institution or in an advisory or business consulting capacity to similar organisations particularly in the following areas: Enterprise or Operational risk management or Risk Culture.
In depth knowledge of one or more of the following:- Risk strategies and appetite;
- Risk governance;
- Risk frameworks, policies and processes;
- Risk identification and assessment techniques;
- Scenario analysis;
- Internal control frameworks;
- Regulatory requirements (e.g. Solvency II, FCA / PRA rulebook).
Excellent interpersonal, networking and influencing skills, including strong oral and written communication of technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Excellent of building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
Experienced working in the insurance sector either as part of an insurance company or in an advisory or business consulting capacity to an insurance company including general insurance, life insurance or London market.
