The Light House
This is a waking role, working from 10pm-7am within The Light House short breaks residential unit to maintain the safety of children overnight, along with the security of the building.
The Light House is registered for up to 10 children with learning disabilities, some of whom also have challenging behaviour or physical disabilities and complex medical conditions.
Positive, flexible and child centred staff are required to work with children who wake during the night. All staff will be receiving enhanced medication training to enable them to meet the health needs of children. All the children have child centred Care Plans which enable's the Night Staff meet their needs.We are looking for experienced, positive staff who have a passion and commitment to working with disabled children.
You must have the ability to follow and contribute to care plans and maintain the smooth running of the unit overnight as well as working with day staff in sharing information.
In addition the SNCA will manage oversea smooth running of the shift.They will be responsible for supervising and managing the night care assistants.
Administer medication or complete clinical tasks to young people in strict accordance with instructions and record the event in detail.
Clinical tasks may be delegated to appropriately competent/trained Night Care Assistants at the discretion of the Senior Night Care Assistant.
