**Interim Civil Enforcement Team Leader


Working Arrangement:
Full-Time


Location:
Leicestershire


Rate:
Negotiable dependant on experience


Duration: - 6 Months with extensions likely

On-Site visits with remote working (Admin based from home)
**Role Duties: - Manage and provide leadership to the Council's Community & Civil Enforcement team ensuring officers are deployed effectively in response to operational intelligence and the needs of the Council

  • Ensuring that the CCEOs are conducting regular and consistent patrols throughout their allocated area and act as ambassadors for the Council and the "eyes and ears" of the community
  • Ensure the Community & Civil Enforcement team maintain high standards of customer service and performance through the introduction and adaption of performance measures and regular one to one reviews
  • Investigate, review and respond to any complaints raised with regard to the Civil Enforcement service
  • Supervise the Council's enforcement responsibilities and fixed penalty notice charges, including the management of the Senior Community & Civil Enforcement Officers and the Support Officer
  • Ensure back office systems for processing of Fixed Penalty and Penalty Charge Notices are efficient, effective and fit for purpose
  • Monitor the use of Body Worn Devices to ensure compliance with Council policy and data protection regulations
  • Establish and maintain a detailed profile of all hotspot areas, including levels of flytipping, litter/dog fouling and ASB.
  • Using the information collated to produce monthly performance reports to inform future operations
  • Effectively manage all contracts relevant to the service. Ensure all policies are reviewed and updated
**Role Responsibilities: - Local Government Experience is Preferred

  • Experience of working in and managing a team
  • Experience of performance management Driving licence
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
